Which Colleges Accept SNAP?
For SNAP colleges, the current admission universe begins with the institutes and programmes officially listed for the cycle. SNAP colleges are the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) institutes that admit MBA candidates on the basis of Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) scores. SNAP 2026 is used for admission to the 2027–28 academic session. The official SNAP portal lists 17 Symbiosis institutes offering 32 MBA programmes for which SNAP is mandatory.
If SNAP is your target exam, pair this college research with the SNAP Ethics, Morality and Values guide.
The programme mix ranges from general MBAs to sector-specific programmes in analytics, HR, international business, operations, healthcare, agri and food, banking and finance, media, sports and sustainability. Three programmes are dual-degree pathways with partner universities.

The comparison is factual rather than a ranking. Here, “ROI” means a placement-to-fee ratio, explained later, rather than a complete financial return.

Data cycle: SNAP 2026 (2027–28 admissions). Programme lists can change between cycles, so confirm against the official SNAP portal.
Some institutes were renamed or restructured in recent years. SIDTM is the current name of the Pune institute formerly identified as SITM. SIIB’s current programme is called Sustainability Management, and the earlier programme used Energy and Environment nomenclature. Search results and older articles may still use the earlier names.
SNAP Registration Is Not Enough
For SNAP colleges, test registration and programme registration are separate parts of the application process. Registering for SNAP does not automatically apply a candidate to every Symbiosis MBA programme.
SNAP registration and programme registration are two separate steps with separate fees:
- SNAP test registration: ₹2,550 per test attempt, plus applicable taxes.
- Programme registration: ₹1,000 per programme, plus applicable taxes.
- Test attempts: up to three SNAP tests are allowed. If you take more than one, the higher score is used for percentile calculation.
- Programme selection: you must register separately for every MBA programme you want to be considered for.
Programme registration is mandatory. A programme for which registration is incomplete will not consider the candidate, regardless of the SNAP score.
A simple example: a student who takes one SNAP attempt and applies to three programmes pays one test fee and three programme-registration fees, with applicable taxes extra. An official tax-inclusive combined total is not stated.
The programme-registration fee is non-refundable, and eligibility varies across programmes. Several programmes have discipline-specific conditions, covered below. For exam preparation, PREPON’s SNAP preparation strategy covers the test itself.
General vs Specialised SNAP Programmes
Across SNAP colleges, programme titles describe very different academic and career pathways. Not every “MBA” on the SNAP list is the same kind of offering, and the terminology matters:
- Programme (or separate MBA degree): a standalone MBA listed by SNAP with its own registration, such as M.B.A. (Business Analytics).
- Specialisation: a focus chosen inside a general MBA. Many general MBAs offer these, and they are not separately listed on SNAP.
- Concentration or elective: a smaller cluster of courses within a degree.
- Dual degree: a pathway that involves a partner university and may carry its own criteria.
SCMHRD’s flagship M.B.A. is a general MBA programme rather than an “MBA HR” programme. Grouped by academic focus, the 32 programmes fall as follows.
| Focus Area | Programmes |
|---|---|
| General management | SIBM Pune M.B.A.; SCMHRD M.B.A.; SIMS Pune M.B.A.; SIBM Bengaluru M.B.A.; SIBM Hyderabad M.B.A.; SIBM Nagpur M.B.A.; SIBM Noida M.B.A. |
| HR and people analytics | SIBM Pune M.B.A. (Human Resource Management & Integrated AI Analytics) |

| Technology and digital | SCIT M.B.A. (Information Technology Business Management); SICSR M.B.A. (Information Technology); SICSR M.B.A. (Technology Management); SIDTM M.B.A. (Digital and Telecom Management) |

| Infrastructure | SCMHRD M.B.A. (Infrastructure Development and Management) |
| Agri and food | SIIB M.B.A. (Agri Business); SIOM M.B.A. (Agri Operations Management); SIBM Nagpur M.B.A. (Food and Agri Business Management); SSCANS M.B.A. (Food Technology and Food Enterprise Management) |
| Banking and finance | SSBF M.B.A. (Banking and Finance) and its two dual-degree variants |

| Entrepreneurship | SIBM Pune M.B.A. (Innovation and Entrepreneurship) |
| Dual degree | SIOM with Durham University Business School; SSBF with Aston University; SSBF with Macquarie University |
Some programmes appear under more than one focus because their titles combine themes, such as agri and operations. This grouping describes programme titles. It is not a ranking, and it does not imply that one focus is better than another.
SNAP Colleges Cut-Offs: What Is Actually Published?
For SNAP colleges, cut-off figures vary by source, cycle, applicant pool and seat availability. Four facts are important:
- Permanent public category-wise SNAP shortlist cut-offs are generally unavailable from Symbiosis institutes.
- Cut-offs vary from year to year with the applicant pool, the difficulty of the test and the number of seats.
- Most percentile figures available online are historical or expected estimates compiled by coaching or aggregator sites.
- Reservation percentage is not the same as a percentile concession; The reservation section below explains the distinction.
The comparison separates official public information from historical or expected third-party estimates. Historical or expected figures are identified with their source and cycle and are not presented as official cut-offs.
| Institute | Programme | General/Open | SC | ST | Public Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SIBM Pune | M.B.A. | Traceable public figure unavailable | Reliable public category figure unavailable | Same as SC | Reliable public category figure unavailable |
| SIBM Pune | Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Human Resource Management & Integrated AI Analytics | Traceable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public category figure unavailable |
| SCMHRD | M.B.A.; Infrastructure Development and Management; Business Analytics | Traceable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public category figure unavailable |
| SIIB | International Business; Agri Business; Sustainability Management | Traceable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public category figure unavailable |
| SIDTM; SIMC; SIOM (3 programmes) | All listed programmes | Traceable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public category figure unavailable |
| SCIT (3 programmes); SICSR (2 programmes) | All listed programmes | Traceable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public category figure unavailable; AI in Business may have limited or no historical cut-off |
| SIHS; SSBF (3 programmes); SSSS; SSCANS | All listed programmes | Traceable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public category figure unavailable |
| SIBM Bengaluru; SIBM Hyderabad; SIBM Nagpur; SIBM Noida | All listed programmes | Traceable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public figure unavailable | Reliable public category figure unavailable |
| SIMS Pune | M.B.A. | Not applicable | Not applicable | Not applicable | Separate SIMS category structure |
Most SNAP percentile cut-offs available online are historical or expected estimates rather than current official shortlist thresholds. Separate SC and ST public shortlist figures are unavailable or not reliably established; General-category figures are not substitutes for category-specific thresholds.
No stable official threshold exists for SIBM Pune or SCMHRD. Online figures therefore function only as historical or expected planning estimates rather than guarantees. Later selection stages also change by cycle. The current admission brochure remains the governing reference. For broader context, see our guide to the top non-IIM MBA colleges in India.
Reservation Rules for SNAP Colleges
Across SNAP colleges, reservation rules must be read separately from percentile expectations. For the standard applicable Symbiosis International (Deemed University) framework, the reservation percentages are:
| Category | Reservation |
|---|---|
| Scheduled Caste (SC) | 15% Of sanctioned intake |
| Scheduled Tribe (ST) | 7.5% Of sanctioned intake |
| Persons with Disabilities (PwD) | 3% |
Additional provisions:
- SIBM Nagpur: 25% Nagpur domicile reservation within sanctioned intake.
- Kashmiri migrant categories: 2 supernumerary seats per programme for specified categories.
- International candidates: maximum 25% supernumerary intake.
Reservation percentage does not equal a fixed percentile relaxation.
A reserved seat percentage tells you how many seats are set aside. It does not specify a fixed percentile concession from the General threshold. Category shortlisting depends on the applicant pool and score distribution, so a fixed-point reduction cannot be inferred from the reservation percentage.
SIMS Pune: a separate framework
Within SNAP colleges, SIMS Pune requires separate treatment because its admission structure is distinct. SIMS Pune does not follow the same SC/ST structure as the framework above. Its current official framework is:
| SIMS Pune Category | Share |
|---|---|
| Defence | 80% |
| Defence Special | 10% |
| Industry Sponsored | 10% |
SIMS Pune follows a separate admission structure, so the standard SC/ST framework used for other Symbiosis programmes is not applicable to the SIMS seat matrix.
The available verified framework does not establish an OBC or EWS reservation position. The current official Symbiosis admission policy and programme-specific admission pages govern the applicable rule.
SNAP Colleges Fees
For SNAP colleges, published tuition should be separated from hostel, mess, deposits and other costs. Programme fees differ by institute and fee cycle. This section separates academic tuition from hostel and mess costs. Tuition is not the “total MBA cost”.

SIBM Pune M.B.A., 2026–28 published charges
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Academic fee (4 instalments of ₹6,55,000) | ₹26,20,000 Total academic tuition |
| Institute deposit | ₹20,000 |
| Hostel deposit | ₹20,000 |
| Hostel fee, three-sharing (first year) | ₹1,57,300 |
| Mess fee (first year) | ₹59,800 + ₹59,800 |
For SNAP colleges, residential charges can change independently of academic tuition. Hostel and mess fees for the second year are to be communicated later and may be revised upward.
SCMHRD M.B.A., 2026–28
Among SNAP colleges, SCMHRD lists its MBA academic fee separately from additional first-year charges. The academic fee is ₹6,45,500 × 4 instalments, giving ₹25,82,000 total academic tuition. First-year charges also include an institute deposit, a hostel deposit, a hostel fee and mess fees, as specified on the current fee page.
What total expenditure can include
For SNAP colleges, total expenditure can exceed the headline academic tuition. Actual spending is usually higher than published tuition. Beyond tuition, plan for:
- Hostel and mess charges, including second-year revisions;
- Refundable deposits, which need upfront funds;
- Travel and personal expenses;
- Education-loan interest, if you borrow.
SNAP Colleges Placements
Across SNAP colleges, placement reporting differs in scope, batch and level of detail. Placement reports are not uniform. Some institutes publish programme-specific data. Others publish combined figures, and some programmes have no separately published report. CTC means cost to company. It is not take-home salary.
| Institute | Programme | Placement Batch | Average CTC | Median CTC | Highest CTC | Data Scope |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SIBM Pune | M.B.A. | 2023–25 | ₹28.83 LPA | ₹26.04 LPA | ₹53.58 LPA | Official placement report; 109+ Recruiters; 98 PPOs |
| SCMHRD | M.B.A. | 2023–25 | ₹21.47 LPA | ₹20.00 LPA | ₹35.90 LPA | Programme-specific official; 118+ Recruiters, 50+ New |
| SCMHRD | M.B.A. (Business Analytics) | Cohort stated in the official corporate brochure | ₹20.25 LPA | ₹20.00 LPA | ₹25.60 LPA | Programme-specific official |
| SIIB | M.B.A. (International Business) | 2024–26 | ₹15.64 LPA | ₹14.40 LPA | ₹27.60 LPA | Programme-specific official |
| SIIB | M.B.A. (Agri Business) | 2024–26 | ₹12.47 LPA | ₹12.00 LPA | ₹23.48 LPA | Programme-specific official |
| SIIB | M.B.A. (Sustainability Management) | Not established | Not officially located | Not officially located | Not officially located | Historical predecessor programme data (MBA Energy & Environment) where the report uses that name; See note |
| SIDTM | M.B.A. (Digital and Telecom Management) | 2024–26 | ₹13.32 LPA | Not publicly available / not located | ₹25.41 LPA | Programme-specific official |
| SCIT | M.B.A. (Data Science and Data Analytics) | 2024–26 | ₹11.64 LPA | ₹11.50 LPA | ₹20.38 LPA | Programme-specific official; 87% Of eligible students placed; 32 Participating companies |
| All other programmes | Not listed above | Not established | Not officially located | Not officially located | Not officially located | Not officially located / combined institute report / first batch (not yet available) |
Notes on the table:
- SIDTM (2024–26): the same report gives a fresher average of ₹11.99 LPA and a lateral average of ₹15.08 LPA. ₹13.32 LPA is the overall average package for this batch.
- SIIB Sustainability Management: Placement data corresponds to the predecessor programme/cohort under the earlier Energy & Environment nomenclature. Earlier results belong to the predecessor cohort and are not results of a new Sustainability cohort.
- SCIT: the Data Science and Data Analytics row applies only to that programme. It does not apply to Information Technology Business Management or Artificial Intelligence in Business.
- Specialised programmes: institute-wide numbers are not used for any programme without its own published figures.
Each placement row uses one batch only. Because the rows do not all share the same batch, the Placement Batch column is essential when comparing figures across programmes.
Placement-to-Fee Comparison: What "ROI" Can and Cannot Tell You
For SNAP colleges, placement-to-fee comparison is only a narrow analytical ratio, not a true investment return. Many aspirants search for “SNAP colleges ROI”. A true return calculation would also need take-home pay, living costs, loan interest, time out of the workforce and long-term earnings, which are not captured in the public data used here. The narrower measure is:
Placement-to-fee ratio = Average CTC ÷ academic tuition
An optional variant is median CTC ÷ academic tuition. This is not a true investment return and is unsuitable as a standalone ranking measure.
Limitations to keep in mind:
- CTC is not take-home salary.
- The placement batch and fee cycle may be different.
- Hostel, mess and living costs are excluded.
- Loan interest and opportunity cost are excluded.
- Outcomes differ by student, role and sector.
| Institute and Programme | Placement Batch | Fee Cycle | Academic Tuition | Average CTC ÷ Tuition | Median CTC ÷ Tuition |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SIBM Pune M.B.A. | 2023–25 | 2026–28 | ₹26.20 Lakh | ≈ 1.10 (₹28.83 Lakh ÷ ₹26.20 Lakh) | ≈ 0.99 (₹26.04 Lakh ÷ ₹26.20 Lakh) |
| SCMHRD M.B.A. | 2023–25 | 2026–28 | ₹25.82 Lakh | ≈ 0.83 (₹21.47 Lakh ÷ ₹25.82 Lakh) | ≈ 0.77 (₹20.00 Lakh ÷ ₹25.82 Lakh) |
| All other programmes | Not calculated because comparable verified inputs are unavailable |
The fee cycle and placement batch in each row are not identical: both rows pair 2023–25 placements with 2026–28 fees. The rows appear in institute order rather than ratio order, so the figures indicate only the stated placement-to-fee relationship.
Batch Size and Sanctioned Intake
Across SNAP colleges, sanctioned intake can affect competition, classroom size and seat availability, and may change by cycle. Programme-level figures appear where reliable public information is available; Unavailable values are labelled accordingly.

Common Mistakes While Choosing SNAP Colleges
- Assuming SNAP registration applies to every institute. SNAP registration is separate from programme registration, which is required for each selected programme.
- Ignoring programme-specific eligibility. Some programmes, such as SIOM’s Operations and Supply Chain Management, restrict eligibility to engineering graduates.
- Using obsolete programme names. SITM, Energy and Environment, and older Public Health programme names may still appear online; The current programme table uses the active names.
- Treating reservation percentages as fixed percentile concessions. A 15% or 7.5% reservation sets the share of seats and does not guarantee a percentile gap.
- Comparing placements from different batches without noticing the year. Placement figures are meaningful only alongside their batch labels.
- Treating tuition as total MBA cost. Hostel, mess, deposits, travel and loan interest can add materially to total expenditure.
- Choosing only by institute name instead of programme fit. Programme focus, eligibility, intake and placement scope vary within one institute.
Across SNAP colleges, programme fit is more reliable than choosing only by institute name. Not sure how to balance your SNAP score, programme choices and selection-stage preparation? PREPON mentors can help with mock analysis, exam strategy and interview or final-selection support.

SNAP 2026 covers 32 MBA programmes across the 17 institutes. They include general MBAs, specialised programmes and three dual-degree pathways. Programme lists can change between cycles, and the official SNAP portal is the current-cycle reference.
Do all Symbiosis institutes accept SNAP?
No. Only the 17 institutes listed on the official SNAP portal accept SNAP for MBA admissions in this cycle. Other Symbiosis institutes or programmes may use a different admission route, which is stated on the relevant programme page.
Is SNAP registration enough to apply to every Symbiosis MBA programme?
No. SNAP registration costs ₹2,550 per attempt, plus taxes, and covers only the test. Each programme requires separate registration at ₹1,000 per programme, plus taxes. A programme you have not registered for will not consider you.
What SNAP percentile is usually needed for SIBM Pune?
There is no stable official public figure. Any number available online is a historical or expected estimate rather than an official threshold. The current SIBM Pune admission brochure remains the governing reference for the active cycle.
What percentile is usually needed for SCMHRD?
SCMHRD's shortlisting threshold varies by year and no permanent public official figure is available. Online figures should be treated as historical or expected estimates rather than guaranteed thresholds. The current admission brochure governs the active-cycle process.
Are SNAP cut-offs different for SC and ST candidates?
Reliable public SC/ST shortlist cut-offs are unavailable or not established for the current cycle. Reservation sets aside a share of seats; It does not create a fixed percentile concession from the General figure.
Does Symbiosis have reservation for SC and ST candidates?
Yes. Under the standard applicable framework, 15% Of sanctioned intake is reserved for SC candidates and 7.5% for ST candidates. SIMS Pune follows a separate structure of Defence 80%, Defence Special 10% and Industry Sponsored 10%.
Is there OBC/EWS reservation in SNAP colleges?
The verified framework available here does not establish an OBC or EWS reservation position. The current official Symbiosis admission policy and the relevant programme admission page govern the applicable rule.
Which SNAP programmes offer Business Analytics?
Two programmes carry Business Analytics in the title: SCMHRD M.B.A. (Business Analytics) and SIBM Bengaluru M.B.A. (Business Analytics). SCIT's Data Science and Data Analytics programme is a separate related offering. Programme-specific eligibility can include mathematics or statistics conditions.
Which SNAP programme is suitable for HR?
SIBM Pune M.B.A. (Human Resource Management & Integrated AI Analytics) is the programme with HR in its title. SCMHRD’s flagship M.B.A. is a general MBA rather than an "MBA HR" programme. Curriculum and eligibility vary by programme.
Can non-engineers apply to SIOM Nashik?
SIOM's M.B.A. (Operations and Supply Chain Management) requires engineering eligibility, so non-engineers cannot apply to that programme. SIOM's other programmes, including Agri Operations Management and the Durham dual degree, may have different criteria.
What are the fees of SNAP colleges?
For 2026–28, SIBM Pune M.B.A. academic tuition is ₹26,20,000 and SCMHRD M.B.A. academic tuition is ₹25,82,000. Other programme fees vary by institute and cycle; The current official fee document is the governing reference.
Are hostel and mess included in the MBA fee?
No. In the published SIBM Pune schedule, hostel and mess fees, deposits and academic tuition are listed separately. Second-year hostel and mess fees are to be communicated later and may change. Treat tuition as only one component of total expenditure.
How should students compare SNAP colleges?
Programme-level eligibility, academic tuition, fee cycle, sanctioned intake, placement batch and data scope provide the strongest comparison. Placement data may be programme-specific or combined, so the reporting scope and cycle matter alongside the headline number.
What does the placement-to-fee ratio mean?
It is average CTC divided by academic tuition, and sometimes median CTC divided by tuition. It is a rough comparison of reported pay against published fees. It is not a true investment return, and it excludes take-home pay, living costs, loan interest and opportunity cost.
Which SNAP programmes have additional eligibility requirements?
Confirmed examples include SIOM's Operations and Supply Chain Management, which requires engineering eligibility, and SCMHRD's Infrastructure Development and Management, which has discipline-specific eligibility. SCMHRD Business Analytics, relevant SCIT programmes, SSCANS and the dual-degree pathways also have programme-specific conditions.
Can I apply to more than one Symbiosis programme?
Yes. You can register for more than one programme, paying ₹1,000 per programme plus applicable taxes. The test fee of ₹2,550 per attempt is separate. A student with one attempt and three programmes pays one test fee and three programme fees. Taxes are extra.
Conclusion: Applying to SNAP Colleges With Better Information
For SNAP colleges, the strongest final decision combines current programme rules, dated data and official verification. Three principles apply across the comparison:
- Apply separately to every programme you want. SNAP registration alone does not complete programme registration.
- Interpret percentile cut-offs by cycle and evidence quality. Most public figures are historical or expected estimates, while separate reliable public SC/ST shortlist figures are unavailable.
- Compare programmes using programme-level data. Eligibility, fee cycle, intake and placement scope provide more useful evidence than institute reputation alone.
The latest official documents should be checked before payment because fees, placements, intake and eligibility can change between cycles.
